2025 Anderson Township Parks Survey
The Anderson Park District, Anderson Township Government, and Forest Hills School District are undertaking a study to explore future possibilities for approximately 23 acres of land adjacent to Beech Acres Park—comprised of the recently acquired 17-acre parcel and the adjacent 6-acre RecPlex site, all of which was formerly part of the Beech Acres Parenting Center. This effort seeks community input on how this space could best serve the Anderson Township community. Together, these 23 acres represent a once-in-a-generation opportunity to expand and reimagine community recreation in the heart of our township.
The following survey is an important part of this process. Your participation is very important. It will only take about 10 minutes to complete. As you complete the survey, please keep in mind that Anderson Township's recreational landscape includes:
- Anderson Park District (APD): A separate political subdivision that operates over 500 acres of parkland, including Beech Acres Park, Clear Creek Park, Juilfs Park, Kellogg Park, Laverty Park, Riverside Park, State & Nagel Park, Veterans Park, and W. M. Johnson Hills Park.
- Township-Owned Trails & Greenspace: Anderson Township owns and maintains more than 23 miles of sidewalks and trails (like the Five Mile Trail) and 72 parcels of property totaling more than 780 acres of designated greenspace properties for conservation and passive use.
- Great Parks of Hamilton County: This is a separate agency that owns and operates parks like Woodland Mound, Withrow Nature Preserve, and the Little Miami Golf Center, which many residents mistakenly believe are part of the Anderson Park District.
Understanding these distinctions will help us make informed, coordinated decisions that reflect the community’s true needs and desires.
We have selected ETC Institute, an independent consulting company, to compile the confidential data received. Once received, the results will be presented to the Steering Committee For more information, contact Kim Farrell at the Anderson Park District, phone 513-388-5096; Email KFarrell@andersonparks.com.
